I knew that C.S. Lewis and I had more in common than our Christianity when he said, "You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me." Welcome to a celebration of faith, tea, and the written word. I'm always engaged in a book, and whether it's one I'm reading or one of the inspirational historical romances I write, there's always a cup of tea close by. Join me in a cup as we chat about faith, our favorite books and the exciting places our reading and writing adventures take us.

RWA, All the Way!

I just registered for the RWA (Romance Writers of America) conference coming this summer! I'm excited to go to the workshops, celebrate the winners of writing contests, and enjoy fellowship with other Christian romance authors who belong to the FHL--Faith, Hope & Love--Chapter of RWA.

I've only attended one RWA, in 2012. It was my first writing conference, and boy was it a doozy. I hadn't met any of my writing buddies in person before, and BOOM!
  • I roomed with two of my Inkwel blog mates, Anita Mae Draper and Suzie Johnson. And we went to Disneyland! Super fun ladies.
  • Debby Giutsi welcomed me to the FHL meeting and whenever I saw her through the conference, she had a ready smile for me...and a prayer!
  • I met Harlequin Love Inspired editors--so encouraging!
  • I met a grande dame of the romance world, Nora Roberts!
I can't wait to go again and re-connect with old friends, make some new ones, and learn a lot!

Enjoy! I've never had an opportunity to attend any conference.
